After 10 years of armed struggle, we want to reflect critically on our history and explain why we say today: We will dissolve the June 2nd movement as an organization and continue the anti-imperialist struggle in the RAF - as the RAF.

The June 2nd movement was founded as a contradiction to the RAF, with the unclear determination of making "spontaneous proletarian" politics. We have considered the revolutionary theory, the analysis of the conditions - from which the strategy and tactics, the continuity and perspective of the struggle can only be developed - to be unimportant and "fought away" with the aim of turning the young people on, and so we have Our practice is also determined by the question of what turns on and not by the question of where are the real contradictions, the frictions in the imperialist strategy that we have to attack.

The movement was a supposed alternative to the RAF as a possibility for those comrades for whom the uncompromising struggle went too far.

This has produced division, competition and disorientation among the left and also in the guerrillas for ten years, and it has also hampered our own revolutionary process.
So we operated with our actions on the populist line, without giving political orientation, without creating a mobilization against the strategy of the pigs.
It is never the job of the guerrillas to please the people in order to get their applause, but - in a country where Nazi fascism and the social democracy integrated by US imperialism have deprived the working class of any proletarian organization - to be the front line to escalate the central political contradictions through the armed attack in order to drive the state into political crisis.

What the guerrillas in the metropolis can only be: the political explosive in the imperialist structure, the attack that breaks the rift between society and the state - that is, revolutionary politics - by mobilizing proletarian, anti-imperialist organization and overturning the political balance of power for us .
The political attack, materialized by the weapon, always remains a victory, even where the operation is militarily defeated because it anticipates and initiates this process.
This continuity of the guerrillas can be found in their strategy, despite severe military defeats.
And that is also the difference between Schleyer and Lorenz. Today we can confidently criticize our most important action. It contains all the mistakes that we have made for 10 years and from which we have learned.

Liberation Action 75 in Berlin took place in a politically tense situation. The struggle of the Stammheim comrades had created a national and international mobilization, which was brought to a climax by the great HS (hunger strike) and which Schmidt could hardly cope with. We not only completely ignored this situation, but also politically overturned it through the selection of prisoners.
In this and in the guy - from a party that has only a subordinate importance for the imperialist strategy - instead of strategy, there was a calculation. In our propaganda work on and after PL (Peter-Lorenz-Aktion? D.Red), the short-term victory - the consumable ritual - was more important to us than to fight for the politico-military level that breaks the imperialist strategy. This is where the roots of the perverted fun guerrilla Reinders, Teufel etc. can be found. The offensive of the RAF '77 and the reaction of the state ultimately also put us before the question of political strategy.

ยด77 is a turning point both in the development of the imperialist strategy and in the definition of the metropolitan guerrilla. Since the massacre in Mogadishu and Stammheim, Schmidt has given Western Europe - under the leadership role of the FRG - the political determination:
Project and model of imperialism in the crisis against the liberation struggles in the 3rd world and in the metropolis of Western Europe.
The unconditional inclusion of Western Europe in the US military strategy and the militarization of the metropolitan states internally via a generally uniform apparatus is the reaction of the imperialists to the increasing simultaneity of revolutionary struggles worldwide.

The revolutionary strategy is internationalized in that the anti-imperialist groups recognize the main enemy USA and the project Western Europe. The US and its accomplices know that their next strategic defeat in any region of the world will put them on the track of ultimate defeat. The "post-Vietnam era" - that is, the attempt to return to political and economic strategy from the defensive after the politico-military defeat of US imperialism in Vietnam - collapsed in Iran - after the chain from Angola to Kambucea .
The imperialist policy is now militarily seeking the solution that it cannot achieve and so it comes - in preparation for total annihilation for the naked concept of its content. The renewed, and then probably last, unleashing of the war in Europe, which was conceived from the outset as a nuclear war, must be prevented. The theorem of "limited war" comes in a new variant in this perversion.
Preparations for war are not aimed at dividing the world among imperialist opponents. Its content is revolution or counterrevolution - and so is the section of the confrontation where the decision will be made.
This decision in the international confrontation will ultimately take place in the metropolises, because the victorious liberation movements of the third world that have become state must necessarily consolidate themselves in the East-West contradiction as long as the imperialist centers blackmail them militarily and through dependence on the world market can.

It is the content of the whole world revolutionary process - the smashing of the state, self-determination, identity - which in the metropolis in the struggle for communism in the last years of the conflict has become particularly mature and explosive - is now materializing - or not at all.
This is the question for the whole left in Western Europe, whether in this escalating situation in which - one way or another - a decision will be made, whether it will carry out its historic task or betray it.
