How do I hide a shaved eyebrow

Fox Eye Challenge: Why TikTok users shave their eyebrows

Forget Dolly Parton, forget brooms, a new challenge is waiting for you! The latest viral sensation on social media is the Fox Eye Challenge.
Countless TikTok users are shaving the outer half of their eyebrows off to create the illusion of fox-like eyes - like models Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid, for example.
The videos almost all follow a certain pattern. The first thing is to create a little shock moment: You see how the person in front of the camera simply shaves off half an eyebrow - everything from the highest point of the arch to the end of the brow is completely removed. Then follow a few funny poses with the new “Half Brows” and then a new brow is drawn with the help of an eyebrow pencil. And then it is as straight as possible.
Sounds pretty wacky, doesn't it? But on TikTok, something like that works of course. That's why the # FoxEye videos have now 7.7 million views - and get very different reactions. While some people are pleasantly surprised and celebrate their new brows, others are not exactly happy.
Would it never be an option for you to reach for the razor blade just because of a hype? No problem. You can also just use concealer or other tricks to hide your brow arches. For those who just want to try it for fun, the eyebrow expert from Benefit Cosmetics Global, Jared Bailey, recommends first applying a high coverage concealer to the hair and then going over it again with a highlighter or powder. "If you use a matt instead of a shimmering highlighter, the result looks even more natural and cleaner," says Bailey. In the next step, you simply apply the new shape with a brow pencil or brow powder.
If, on the other hand, you are not afraid of drastic changes and try out every beauty hype, I have a few more tips for you. First of all, you should be aware that as soon as the brows are shaved off, you should of course plan a little more time to put on your make-up - because you have to paint them on every day (and remove make-up in the evening). Otherwise, according to celebrity eyebrow stylist Joey Healy, you should be extra careful when using a five-bladed razor or razor like the ones shown in some videos. “Razors can be extremely dangerous,” he warns, recommending using a special razor for your face instead. “The corrugated blades reduce the risk of cutting into the skin.” Apart from that, he does not recommend using shaving cream, because you will then no longer see the brow and you may end up shaving off more than you actually wanted. "The hairs aren't that frizzy, so it usually works just fine to just gently shave clean, dry skin."
But even if you take all of these precautions, I would still personally advise you not to join the hype. As someone who participated in the skinny brow trend in the 90s and is still annoyed about it today, I can only say: At some point you could regret it. Believe me.
