Framework plans now available as an accessible PDF file

Framework plans are now available for download as a barrier-free PDF file

The framework plans of the expert commission were re-laid out and put in a barrier-free PDF document. They are available to you from now on. This publication is the second revised edition.

The framework plans consist of the explanatory framework, the framework curriculum for theoretical and practical lessons and the framework training plan for practical nursing training. They were developed by the specialist commission in accordance with Section 53 of the PflBG and have a recommendatory effect. Together with the PflAPrV, they provide a nationwide basis for the development of internal school curricula and facility-specific training plans. The framework plans were checked by the Federal Ministry for Family, Seniors, Women and Youth and the Federal Ministry of Health.

Accompanying materials for the framework plans are now available for download as barrier-free PDF files

The accompanying materials for the framework plans of the expert commission have been redesigned and put in a barrier-free PDF document. They are now available free of charge.

With the accompanying materials, the expert commission provides an extension and specification of the justification framework for the framework curriculum and framework training plans in accordance with Section 53 of the PflBG. Here, the professional and didactic-pedagogical core statements on which the framework plan development is based are presented in a scientifically sound manner. This provides material for the pedagogical discussion as well as for the construction of the school's own curricula.

Another instrument for curriculum development is available with the competence matrix. This makes it possible to quickly determine in which curricular unit the competencies of the PflAPrV occur and how often they are represented overall in the course of training. The competence matrix is also available in the download area.

The framework plans for the new nursing training

Prof. Gertrud Hundenborn, Chair of the Expert Commission and Prof. Dr. Ingrid Darmann-Finck, deputy chairwoman explains: “Both the expertise of the members of the expert commission and, above all, their extraordinary commitment made it possible to work out the extensive framework plans within such a short period of time. It is a concern of all members of the expert commission to support and accompany the dissemination, acceptance and implementation of the framework plans with our possibilities. "

The framework curricula and framework training plans drawn up by the specialist commission in accordance with the Nursing Professions Act for the new nursing training courses starting January 1, 2020 are also available free of charge on the BIBB website. After the framework plans were handed over on time on June 26, 2019, the Federal Ministry for Family, Seniors, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ) and the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) checked them for compatibility with the Nursing Profession Act. The examination was concluded with the result that the framework plans are compatible with the Nursing Profession Act.

With the publication, nationwide framework plans for vocational nursing training are available for the first time. They have a recommendatory effect and can be used by the federal states to develop their teaching plans and by the providers of practical training for their training plans.
