Hazard warnings: Risk of fire in contact with flammable substances. Causes chemical burns.

Hydrogen peroxide, especially in its more concentrated form, develops a strong one Caustic effect on skin, mucous membranes and eyes. Contact with impurities (especially with metals) can lead to very rapid decomposition of the solution. This releases a lot of oxygen and heat, which can cause the liquid to splash or the storage container to burst. Contact of hydrogen peroxide solution with flammable materials can cause a fire.

Substances to be avoided: Violent reaction with metals, especially with those in Powder form (Aluminum, magnesium, zinc, iron, etc.), alkali metals, metal oxides, aldehydes, alcohols, amines, ammonia, carbon, hydrazine, hydrides, flammable substances, oxidizing agents (e.g. permanganates), ethers, acids, anhydrides. Attention! The formation is extremely dangerous with organic substances / liquids such as methenamine (hexamethylenetetramine) and acetone explosive peroxides (e.g. tricycloacetone peroxide) possible. Conditions under which such substances can arise must be carefully avoided.
